There are days in this city that you look out of the window at your office and can’t picture anything besides spending a balmy evening on a rooftop in some almost bare dress that feels so good on your skin, hair flowing and just dance the night away in the arms of someone, especially a stranger, who seems to know exactly how to move with you, how to flow, lead and occasionally take control in a way that makes you ache to just give into anything he may do…
…and then the rain comes. Today it pulls my mind to a near perfect date with a gorgeous lebanese bad boy who was all sorts of wrong – but those eyes wouldn’t allow me to call it a night quite yet on that salty spring night.
Walking home from dessert, talking, drinking and dancing and the sky rumbles; you think it might ruin a moment but whats hotter than strolling home after a hot sweaty night of bodies moving, senses invigorated?
Not much.
Flirting, tempting, teasing your way down the illuminated city street stealing kisses when the sky breaks open and covers your skin in a warm shower making your bodies smooth and your mascara and smokey liner smudging just right to resemble Denise Richards pool scenes in Wild Things.
There is a unique and stimulating feeling when you are in an uncommon situation that awakens the senses.
Dancing with fresh air flowing through the thin material of a dress or an eruption of rain cocooning a goodnight kiss both make for exceptional and memorable dates…to bad so many city men are more worried about their hair in the rain than I am.
Make the most of your long weekends and any weather that comes with it!
